Those of us with homes that have IGT-supplied gas and who were hoping to see IGT transfer delays becoming a thing of the past are, I fear, going to have to wait.
PROJECT NEXUS IMPLEMENTATION
We were very disappointed to learn that PwC’s analysis shows that 1 October is unlikely to be a viable implementation date for Project Nexus. This is mainly due to organisations not having sufficient time to test their own systems in advance of joining market trials. The review showed that parties were focused on delivering their internal systems by 1 October, and in some instances sooner, but that very little or no provision had been made for adequate involvement in market trials. In addition, many plans did not sufficiently consider transition activity, training and contingency.
We know from experience that large IT system migrations present risks to consumers’ experience of the energy market. We are disappointed that industry parties have not focussed sufficiently on the potential impacts on their customers, and made sure collectively that enough time was left to test the new market arrangements in time for implementation on 1 October.

It's going well then. I continue to be amazed by the fact that it can take so long for 2 suppliers to agree two meter readings - even with a 3rd party involved. Seventy five days on and my gas has yet to switch which means that the meter reading has yet to go through the validation process. It really is time that Ofgem got to grips with the market that it allegedly regulates. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
