in Credit cards
Hi there,
Basically my partner has a vanquis card, has a good credit limit but only ever uses around £120 a month for petrol and pays it off everyone month before the balance is due. Last week he had to cancel his day to day debit card due to fraudulent activity, this has suspended his online banking etc as well. Well his vanquis payment is due by the end of this month but on Wednesday afternoon he used my debit card to pay it as were due to go on holiday on Tuesday and won't be back until 2 days before the balance is due. He made the payment and got a reference number, it also said it had been authorised etc so thought nothing off it and that the payment would go through fine, but I checked my account today and it hasn't been debited as off yet, after a Google search I've heard people saying that because they card isn't registered in his name they might not accept the payment although it said authorised? Has anyone else had this problem? I'm not sure whether vanquis class the day you pass as a working day so I could check Monday as see if it's come out. His bank should be sorted next week but we're on holiday so that's no good to us if the payment is due right after we get home.

is your available balance showing as different to you available balance?when I pay by card it takes a few days for the money to actually show as leaving my bank account but the balances are usually different.
if you paid it weds should clear on his vanquis account tomorrow so I'd check in the morningthis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -

Tomorrow is Saturday, it's unlikely to debit tomorrow.0 -
Both account balances still exactly the same. There website says 3-5 working days but then some people are saying you cant pay using a card registered to a different person. Suppose will have check tomorrow and Monday if no change.0
