Hi there
I've done very well off ebay since joining in 2005. I mainly sell kids clothes, shoes and toys which always seems to sell really well, especially NEXT and other branded stuff.
Mobiles, leather handbags and ladies NEXT stuff is always a good seller.
Just lower your expectations and you won't be disappointed. Try to list on a reduced listing day.. and if you accept paypal as payment method then remember that paypal also charge you a percenage for using their service.
Always obtain proof of postage too.. then you have no comebacks should something not arrive at its destination.
I've got 351 feedback at 99.7%. Only got left one negative this time last year because some witch sold me a dodgy item, plus numerous others, and everybody persued their claims through paypal and won and she left everybody a negative before being banned. Hey ho, thats just the luck of the draw sometimes!
Give it a go, what have you got to lose!!0 -

Hi.
Beware of sourcing or making things to sell on - that is considered trading and you may be liable to declare for tax. I believe (unless someone can correct me) that the tax office are not concerned with selling second hand items that you own and no longer want/need. That's the way it was explained to me.
We do quite well on Ebay when we do it - we tend to have phases and then get bored and have a break. I try to sell anything I no longer need eg clothes that don't fit, high heels I can't walk in but convinced myself I can, perfumes I didn't like etc etc and this pays for extra debt repayment or essentials such as car service, house maintenance etc and less-essentials such as xmas.
We have had good months - up to £600 sometimes. The other posters are right though, you do have to enjoy it.
