Taskbar won't return to usual size and place

I had the issue after installing windows 10, I have the usual icons on the taskbar and two short cuts, one to libraries and one to dropbox. I tried everything to get the size right, nothing would work, then I decided, maybe there were to many items on the task bar, I took off the libraries short cut and the taskbar when to the the correct size.
I then added the short-cut to libraries back onto the taskbar but this time it stayed at the correct size.
Worked for me, see if you can remove something and see if that changes the size.

where's the taskbar separatorDon't you dare criticise what you cannot understand0 -
Hello bsod - thankyou, too.
If separator means the change from royal blue to lighter blue containing those 7 icons, I tried to stretch that, hoping the 7 would all pop back into a single line. I can't move it.

Thankyou all - hadn't expected so many responses, or fact that prob.'s still ongoing, albeit at foot of page.
I just can't reduce the 7 small icons: date/time/progs etc. from 3 lines back to 1, which will restore former status quo.
Everything's been normal size throughout.

20aday - I see that, exactly, but what should I do with it? Checked Advance - nothing to change that I can see.
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

Nothing working now, although it has done - posts passim.
Have never been able to take screenshots.
This is a notspot, where all comms[ inc.LL, mob] work only in fits and starts and worsening, with sporadic periods of wind-up noises during which everything freezes or stops entirely while the roar continues. Posts may then disappear, thanks often do. This is just another of several techie help Threads I've submitted over the years.
It's good of you to return - I'm trying to finish something outside and rain's beginning.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:
