Dyno Rod guarantee query

Hi All,
In the first week of July Dyno Rod were called out to fix a plumbing issue with our kitchen sink, and while they were here I asked them to fix a problem with the gulleys/drains outside of the house draining slowly. They checked, added on the extra cost and product to the invoice and off they went.
This week the neighbour noticed sewage water pouring out of his gulleys and drains. When we pulled up the cover on one of the gulleys Dyno Rod had checked during their visit, there was a significant blockage of tissue and other stuff
I called them back out based on their 90 day guarantee and they arrived today, telling us that it's not their problem as it's a shared property issue now and United Utilities needs to resolve it.
I can accept that, but I was told on the phone by Dyno Rod's local franchise that if United Utilities take a look and tell us it's the blockage on our property causing it, Then Dyno Rod will not fix it under the guarantee if it extends beyond 90 days.
Am I wrong, or does a guarantee cover issues which were recognised during the 90 days, and if the resolution extends beyond that period they should still honour it?
