    Pretty please How did you cut it and what did you cut it with?

    i cut laminate flooring. (just noticed you said bookcase)
    i have a high speed circular saw table.

    but what you can try is.
    put masking tape along the area to be cut.
    make sure the cutting blade is going into the laminate as opposed to away from the laminate.
    eg if using a normal circular saw or a jig saw cut the wood on the opposite side to the laminate. so the blade pulls into it. you will never stop the chipping, but can reduce it to a minimum.
    i have cut a veneered table top doing the same method.

    ps. the more tpi (teeth per inch) the better

    I have a largish apg need to spend by 10th . It is an evoucher. bit short of money after the wedding so basic shopping maybe and am short of Loo rolls. Any idea which are best to compare and are Udi still working? Ta
