Thank you - decided to leave it as I already had a few after Infusion shops so don't want to draw attention.

Oh dear I'm starting to sound like you :eek:
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Regarding the first part, probably spent 4 years of life and therefore lost more than they would get back:rotfl:.
Also (in a part of your post I've omitted), when is any research "totally objective"? (My emphasis.) I don't think anyone can achieve total objectivity - I may come close, but even me I'm not without my biases - most importantly my subconscious or unconscious biases of which I am totally unaware. :doh:I may be reading your word "totally" very too literally:rotfl::rotfl:. I bet you don't mean "totally":D. You mean "as near to totally as possible". You lot never say what you mean:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:!:D:D (My word "never" not meant to be taken totally literally btw, so even my "...never say what you mean" isn't literally true and therefore itself is me not saying what I totally mean. Except I've added this clarification, so, in total, maybe I did "say" what I meant. "Problem" (or not - it can be fun) is that often most people don't make their implications clear.
Getting warned again now of a "very distressing" image - that, once again, is viewable by any young child who enters a newsagents tomorrow. (I don't entirely understand why not suitable for television without warning when it's on newstand front pages and no warning posted up there in order to avoid it.) Then again, as I said I may be not seeing something in the emotion in the picture. However, just indeed finding it starting to get a bit "patronising" now that I'm being warned so much - in a rational sense though - and nothing on any scale compared to the actual distressing events (as opposed to images which are, maybe "unfortunately"(?), not) in the refugee crisis. Sun newspaper: "shocking cruel reality". Unfortunately, does not "shock" me and therefore, in that sense, not shocking. Quite wrongly, rationally less severe stuff shocks me so much more. Puts things into perspective - but, still, it's not easily able to control living with PTSD. (Indeed, some people may have PTSD from witnessing actual real life events such as the refugee crisis and soldiers with PTSD etc.)0 -

Perhaps I'm getting a little saddened now, that I am not distressed by images of such things. But no real point me doing that, or upsetting myself because broadcasters almost tell me to be "distressed". (Am I wrong or weird not to be?:think:) It is tragic though - and beyond.0

Back to the old glitchy ways I see around me on this thread tonight.:) Cat food:D:D.0

Oh, why not spend a night on MSE? It's been a while. Alright, though, (shock horror) I have to go straight away now! I know - totally without warning and just like that.
Time's getting on tonight - see you later!:):wave:0 -

PTSD is a terrible condition and one which you quite rightly have identified is not curable. I do believe it's liveable though.....to a degree that makes it worth seeking treatment.
I'm very upset by an image that was shown on the news tonightsomeone removing the body of a young child refugee from the sea.....in Greece I think? It's so all over the news I can't keep up with what is happening in which country
We can all have our personal crisis going on but I'm finding it increasingly upsetting to watch what these people are going through

"Not an easy paper review to do tonight." Come on, what are you: a non-hardened journalist?!?:huh: Someone who hasn't been around the world and seen and reported on many crises.
They should give the job to me. I wouldn't know how to keep the conversation going:o:o:rotfl:. I'd be totally "useless" therefore... but at least I know what I'm good at and what I'm not, so we all concentrate on our strengths. The team of BBC news presenters (and indeed other broadcasters) - they'll all good and present the programmes with professionalism. To be fair to me, as a job of work I could do things and do them better - it would be something where I do better when it's part of work rather than socially - but I would need to do a great great deal and overpreparation and remember every line I was saying or else have it written down. It would be harder - but not totally impossible and therefore not completely rule out an Asperger's person. Not the "best" therefore, but, then again, adjustments should be made where reasonable and disability ought not to bar me from any profession. Just hypothetical - not wishing to be a newsreader and presenter.
See you, bye!:wave:0 -
