looking good, boots or pumps would possibly be better, but whatever you feel comfortable in. Remember in catering you usually have to wear a net thingy over your hair, or perhaps have it tied back, jewellery is also usually a no no, and closed in flat shoes but im sure you've done your research just in case they ask any questions on dress protocol.
Good luck but im sure you wont need it, Im doing a 2 day mandatory training courseso ill be thinking of you at 2.15:)
Thankyou HILLBERN, doing my homework at minutexx
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

And here's the full original soundtrack for you to enjoy (or not) in its full glory:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mEx9FtuN0k
I doubt I need to give any warning as it's obvious from the previous context what the material might be.
Wasn't planning on posting this as my next song I posted on here:rotfl:.
I think this would probably cause me offence if in the gym, where I have never heard it so that this version has never been a problem for me.
In fact :(the first use of the racial 14th letter of alphabet word is hardly distinct at all in soundtrack and I would be okay with that. I can barely hear it. The same was not true of the radio version I heard, which made it entirely clear and stand out. Second use of the word, I can hear that slightly more - so that "probably" would cause me offence, though not a great deal and probably minor if I could 'forgive' or try to ignore, as in this version I could. Appears that there is no other potentially offensive language in this "uncensored" version. I thought there was more than that:eek: - seems they have probably blanked out the word "butt" or something and it has then, in the radio version in the gym, come across as implying the word beginning 6th letter, which has caused me severe discomfort from thinking it was that. In other words - the censorship has again misled and causing offence from a misunderstanding that it created. I did not know at the time that that was the true lyric. Importantly, because, by definition, in order to "misunderstanding" you have to not know about your misunderstanding and to believe, and understand, what you (wrongly) believe to be the case to be the case. I did not know I had misunderstood the radio version. I believed that it was a version of the sixth-letter word, as that came across as implied from the radio edit.
Even when, years too late, I now realise that I interpret a lot of songs much worse than the original lyrics, I still do not feel comfortable when hearing the "censored" versions, because I believe them, at the time, to be meaning that - and that comes across in my mind as if it is - I can tell the soundtrack is changed but the alteration seems so little - and, even when I "know" it's not, it doesn't come across like that when hearing radio versions but instead, I fear (though fear is perhaps a slightly too high word for it - although maybe "fear" is the right description) what it might mean even if it later turns out it does not. Even the thought of might is enough for me to be made uncomfortable - as it's about just "feeling" and offence. It's just how I feel. It's about emotion and offence and my thought of what it might mean, even if it turns out, unbeknown to me at the time, it does not. Even if it does not, it still reminds me of the swearwords and I get upset at the reminder and thought of those words in later times when I was in the gym. Yes, I have a problem: mere thought causes me a stress reaction by this stage. The whole thing is emotional psychological "abuse"/stress (abuse in a sense since it is harmful in the sense of highly offensive to me - and, done over time and repeatedly, amounts to "abuse" - i.e. mistreatment of myself - and I suffered, prior to my clinical depression stage, all the same medical symptoms as victims of personal abuse and bullying have suffered. (That is the impact of "swearing" at its worst.)
So, yes, unfortunately, add that to the other list of about ten songs whose original versions contained no offensive language (or not offensive impactive enough - depending on the level of the actual individual word - to cause me actual offence) but the radio version has implied much worse and caused me severe discomfort. It's editing offence into songs for me - removing inoffensive words like "butt" and replacing them with offensive material. Censorship: new definition at this stage: making things offensive for you, for your total lack of protection. I've actually no beef or complaint about censorship per se. I do believe the original should not be played there - and especially not the more offensive (in terms of its actual emotional impact, not logical or my personal belief) "censored" version. Both should be banned in that environment from being played at all - in other words censorship - banning, making totally illegal and/or impossible to come into possession of ("to hear"), at least in that place - and a totally sanitised, absolutely watered down and totally inoffensive version, that contains no reference whatsoever to its original language, should be played if it is played at all (there's the issue then of people buying albums of songs they've heard on the radio and getting an unexpected shock from not realising what the original song was - or buying it for children, completely unaware) - such as, it now seems, the one at the previous post link, which is not the "blanked" (not quite) one I heard.
It's sometimes "amazed" me that people have posted on the internet about buying a record (does anyone do that anymore? Not really MSE is it?:rotfl::rotfl:) and, even when the radio version was clearly with edited elements in it, not apparently realising its lyrics. I've bought original songs based on radio edits (usually ones with the most amount of blanks:rotfl::rotfl:- love the constant effing and blindin' in my own home!). I have got songs before based on what I heard on the radio (and not always a lot of blanks, that was only slightly joking) and I've been constantly surprised at how much less severe the original lyrics are than anything that came across on the radio (sometimes surprised to my disappointment that it did not contain the really explicit lyric that I was "hoping" (for home listening) it did - the whole point is the "worse" it is, the so bad it's good but the radio edits don't even have that and aren't nearly "inappropriate" enough to be actually funny - they're just plain offensive instead, it seems.
If they did actually play actual swearing in the gym, it might (might not) be so "inappropriate" as to push me into actual laughter, whereas unfortunately the radio edits don't even have that. That's not to say the uncensored versions would be appropriate always for children to hear, and neither is it to say that the original "explicit" versions would not cause me anything but a severe impact (in the gym or clothes shops with strangers) - the "explicit" originals probably would cause me offence in a shock impact (skin conductance, hit you hard due to the "strength" of the actual word - how high up in the "list of words" etc. - i.e. some stronger than others and I generally follow the generally accepted pattern - which was why the final one I heard, that caused the absolute worst shock I've ever had in my life, which was a radio version that meant an extremely high-up word - radio edit, the manner in which it actually sounded (it was the exact and specific way, and very subjective indeed - proof itself, as offence is precisely a subjective thing), the exact way in which it sounded and way in which the material came across merely harshening what had been in the original even more.
It was a harsh, scraping sound version of the word (in effect, as all while too close for comfort - it did not avoid the word at all as that was in my mind and everyone, problematically, would know that was what it meant, especially as it was way too close in sound, just a harshened, near-as-if said aggressively-type version (though I know that's not quite right - sounds as if someone saying it extremely bad in an aggressive shouting manner - or, actually, even worse than anyone could ever actually say it - literally worse than sayable - you could never be so bad to me in real life as that radio edit, in that particular environment and context. And one of the most offensive words of all. It hit me like a cricket bat and worse from six feet up and then smashed me into the ground, hitting me for absolute six and totally beyond. That's what it felt like. I absolutely collapsed in total offence inside, especially given the context of the previous repeated instances of increasingly severe offence which I was still not over from the previous session a week before (when I was, yet again, for the 130-oddth time caused serious offence).
It hit me with a huge shock, heart sank right down - and I felt the heart racing for a continuous three weeks thereafter. Probably slightly worse - or if not, then the same - as actually hearing it (I do not know - as I never heard the "actual hearing" version of it in the gym with the strangers). Anyway, that's speculation and does not relate to what I have heard - although I've considered it and considered it round and round and to the point of sometimes bothering me.
Unbelievably the station has still, six years later, not apologised for it or even responded to my complaint and that itself has been further totally unacceptable and reprehensible to the highest possible level. They could have taken mitigating action, even though then too late, but have chosen not to do so. It keeps periodically playing and replaying on my mind, until I get an apology - which is never and it therefore still continues to do so and perpetuates far beyond the original utter gross offence. Totally unacceptable and beyond - I actually believe that the controlling body of the radio station ought to be prosecuted and put in jail for several months - if not years: it's been worse than a criminal assault (had a member of staff hypothetically visited my house and punched me, it could have been "merely" a common assault and I could have recovered from it within a few weeks. But, instead, it's not: emotional damage is so much more severe and long lasting and all that they have done - omitted to do - has compounded every matter). They ought to be prosecuted for public order offences, anti-social behaviour and harassment - as it appears to me to fit all such offences.
(There is a defence in public order that conduct is "reasonable". However, it is unreasonable as it as it has caused me such offence and because it has had such an impact on me - I do not believe that anything disruptive to someone's normal life activities, to such an extent, which now effectively has prevented and ensured that I am unable to go to a gym, and which prevents them from carrying on would be defended by any right person and it's totally unreasonable therefore and not acceptable as part of normal civil behaviour or conduct in a civilised society, no matter how acceptable they think their own unacceptable and offensive behaviour to be. The persistent and continued nature of the course of conduct also makes it totally intolerable, and has indeed proved such to me, and oppressive and unreasonable. The fact that playing records is an otherwise normally lawful activity is proof - harassment usually is through things that are otherwise lawful. E.g. sending a birthday card to someone, normally that's legal. However, as part of a course of conduct that causes someone distress - perhaps broken relationship and doesn't wish contact - it can amount to harassment. Neither is anyone else's "right to hear" (content which others may find offensive) outtrumping my right at all, due to the serious impact on myself making it wholly proportionate to restrict other's less serious rights. They have not suffered such emotional damage and distress through failure to hear songs that they could otherwise hear via other means. Besides, the radio does not play the uncensored versions and yet people's "rights to hear" those are restricted as they are not played. Presumably because they would or might cause other people emotional offence. Therefore, they should restrict the things that cause me offence too - especially as the level of offence has been beyond extreme and utterly repeated. Why are other people's rights to protection from offence material more important than mine?
The whole aim is to protect "members of the public" (and I am one) from offence and it has totally failed as the material actually played in such a widespread and commonplace manner has caused me harm (as I now have PTSD illness from it) and constantly repeated and persistent offence. The fact it is so commonplace, indeed, makes the whole situation even worse, as it ensures that I am caused serious offence on numerous and repeated separate occasions. It would have been "better" if it had been a sihgle rare occasion, but it's not: it's commonplace and endemic. It's like a whole industry, rather than just a single company, breaking codes or rules. That has happened before: when whole industry practice of certain sectors has been, for example, not to quote VAT in pricing even though that is required by the code of Advertising Standards. The defence that "this is common industry practice" does not do: indeed, it is worse if instead of just one company, it's every lot of them and it is not a migitation but an aggravating factor.
The radio station is a joint toftfeasor with the gym owners. If anyone in normal life had done this, in a public place, constantly swearing at someone, or worse, they would by now if not be put in prison at least have an anti-social behaviour order against them. It's been exactly the same effect. The fact an organisation causes it does not make it acceptable - in fact it makes it even worse, as an organisation could be expected to act with responsibility as opposed to behaving like an irresponsible criminal lout (whose behaviour is merely to be expected).
What may (or may not - since they know the words) protect children may make the songs more offensive for me.
Anyway, I will get onto another topic - sorry folks - I know I'm going on all day although that's largely because of how impactive and disruptive into my life it's been for me.
(Then I get warnings on the TV all the time about "distressing" material which, sadly perhaps, does not distress me.)0 -
Dunno if this is any good as i dont drink0
