I've found out now why DrO's voucher has taken so long to be emailed to me - they've perishing well sent it to me by snail mail ! Daft as I clearly stated that' yes, I do have a printer' when they asked me. If they are going to do that then I am wasting my time using any alternative emails as I only have access to one 'real' address and they will apply the one per household rule.ELITE 5:2

Morning everyone. Lovely sunny morning here in North Wales.
BNI worked this morning with korma, tikka, Jalfrezi & flatbreads.
Each flatbread gives a £1.00 return and each curry 30p so a £2.60 pp on each £6.00 meal deal.

I haven't bought the BNI for a while now - they don't stock them anymore at our store. I wonder if they are actually worth doing now with the decrease of price in the curries? The flatbreads we have a surfeit of, in the freezer & they may have to go to accommodate other things.
If we want a quick curry we are buying the Tandoori with bombay potatoes for £1.65, this alternates with the tikka one & usually one of them is on offer. We haven't got to worry about 10 different items buying this way.
It was a good offer before the price change but now I don't think I'll buy again unless something else changes price. Of course I could make my own.0 -
I've been having a look on the school website and it would appear that potentially DS1 could drive DS2 to school but only if he obtains our written permission to do so and fills a form in that has to be sanctioned by the deputy head....no doubt we will try to get this in place as soon as possible if only to keep one car off the road. What a waste of petrol and unnecessary increase in road traffic.
What happens when the school boy drivers do a car rota amongst themselves?
I would think the school need reminding of the DVLA and highway code rules on who can and cannot be passengers in the cars of new drivers. I'm sure that schools are not responsible for making laws about drivers.
When DS1 was learning to drive, he would drive to school and I would drive the car home. Does your school rule mean that we couldn't give a lift to anyone going to school?
Its clearly an issue that the school has with pupils in the upper sixth trying to balance those that have passed tests and can drive with trying not to promote them using the cars for travelling friends round at lunchtime etc....there seems to be a system where parental permission must be given in writing by all parents of both drivers and passengers.
I can probably see it becoming something that the car is bought home by me during the day and then driven to and from school by DS1....but hey ho,I was just thinking that I could put them both in DS1's car to go to schoolfrugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
