When me and hubby met i got on really well with his parents...
Then I invited them to my parents home to meet them
Thats when his parent disliked me and did everything possible to try and persuade hubby not to go through with our wedding

I was adopted by my grandparents my grandad was black his parents were from guyana ..my grandmother was white from south wales where my grandad was born...my real parents were both white as am I.
I grew up calling my grandparents mum and dad didnt get told i was adopted till i was 21 but by then it made no difference to me they were my mum n dad nothing would change that...
met my birth parents a cpl of times both were idiots tbh
but this was the outlaws biggest fear if their son married me..the fact one of our kids could be black
as it happens all 10 of our kids are white ..but outlaws looked at me and our kids and saw my dads colour
sad pathetic hypocritical people they were

That is so sad, but also so admirable for your hubby to go against his parents, obviously that was the right thing to do as 37 years later, 10 children and great grand children you are still all going strong. x
