Am so looking forward to tomorrow. It's the air show here and the sun will supposedly shine
I'm happy to be going especially because I may get spotted by a handsome red arrows pilot from his cockpit who will spot me from the air and land his plane on the beach and rush out out to find the beautiful woman he spotted in the crowd.....leaving his plane behind and frantically searching for me. We will find each other by the promotional haribo stand that hands mouth changing amounts of sweeties to unsuspecting children and we will embrace.....briefly. he will then toss me a spare flying suit that he carries around just case of this very scenario and me and him will run across the beach back to his red arrow plane and he'll say 'get in silly'.........
on a serious notetomorrow will be the last ever flight of our dearly beloved very 70s looking and 70s acting Vulcan Bomber. will be there to cheer her very distinguished service to our country :A

I reckon its either MSC or a Costa ship
I was watching Rick Stein in Venice on TV last night - breath takingly beautiful city (and the food as well) and there was a clip of MSC Amonia sailing through the middle of it all - stunning
So if you are starting from Venice I will easily recognise it
Not starting in Venice:p

shopping with the OH is hard work :wall:
trying to explain why I need to keep stuff on different transactions is like speaking another language to him lol
He say am hard work and just can't grasp the concept very well lol
anyway on producing an APG 3 hours later for £7.95 he soon change his thinking :rotfl:
happy Friday peeps
On a "mission" I prefer to shop alone... it is easier to keep items in the right section of the trolley when doing multiple shops for apg. That said, my house know the ways of the Elite so even when shopping with me they tend to behave :A.

Am nearly done with shawshank redemption..... again
and I'm getting to bed.
for me, there is no film ever made that rivals it. I love it. I mostly love the sound of Morgan Freemans voice to explain what's happened. he has the smoothest, most soothing voice ever
nothing will ever take any the feeling when I first watched it though. not much touches me but that didthank you friends :A

Thank you for your very succinct synopsis of what I've missedI have also missed your posts as well. A cruise......how exciting
Is the Mediterranean really ready for you 2?
I was being tongue in cheek about sacking my chef earlierhe's actually been very supportive. He attended one appointment and the look of panic on his face made me leave him in the car for the next one, I gave up and went myself after that. But the thought was there.
He's also been feeding me:rotfl: a lot of the time. I was very shocked to get weighed recently and discover I weighed 52kg (don't know what that is in old money) I only get weighed at medical establishments because I have no scales. But I do remember the last time I was weighed I was at least 10kg heavier than that
That doesn't mean there's a happy ever after in sight. The support has just been very welcome. And it must be nice for him to have something to think of other than himself. Keeping a balance where the kids don't get used to it has been the trickiest part
Nice to be supported by the person who knows you best. Sometimes the car park is the best place to leave them though.
Also nice to know he has been feeding you but 52kg is a bit shocking. He can always leave you a few things to heat up in fridge.
Also glad to know he will be available for haircutting duties. I still think gp could help with a little something to destress ds2 while it is done. Then slowly he might get a better understanding of the sensory side of it if he isn't so upset.
The ship is ready for me but N is another matter. Be so nice not to be alone and she understands my problems and is happy to amuse herself at times. Maybe she will find me a new husband (or a daliance) already had the 'hang something on the doorknob' joke but that will not be necessary. A bit of harmless flirting will do me.
Even thinking about not bothering with sparkly sandals with a little heel. Ordered some lovely jewelled flip flops from amazon which might be capable of multitasking. I have enjoyed shopping for holiday even if most stuff has gone back as I don't need anything. 2 pairs of fitflops but those are a must with my continual leg problems. They have made things a bit easier to bare.
We get on so well and are in sync with each other, even if I can't keep up.

oh my you do make me :rotfl::rotfl: in a good way. I will just say you probably both need to look out for each other  also in a good way.
it's absolutely lovely to hear you sounding so happyI know what you've gone through and you deserve it so much. there are quiet people (like you) and there's drama queens (like me ) and there's space for us all. We all fit in together.

fairclaire wrote: »Oh yes the pee clinc
I really hope it doesn't offend any other pee clinic users. I'm only out on license you know
I had to go to the pee clinic with 2 samples. A 24 hour sample, which I was given an amply suitable container for in advance , the letter I got with my appointment said I also need just a normal sample in a clean dry container (I know! how can it be dry if it's got pee in it? )
Well I got myself in a totally obsessed state looking for a suitable container. Maybe I just needed a distraction?
I spent most of whole day on this! I went through all my cupboards. Too big, too small, too untrustworthy a lid, too nice to pee in, belonged to my grandmother, do I get my container back?, do I want my container back??,.......
When that search became fruitless and didn't turn up a suitable (in my head) container I turned to my food cupboardsto see if anything could be emptied out and used :rotfl:
but I just couldn't :rotfl::rotfl:
It was a couple of hours before my appointment and I'd been holding my wee in all this time  I'd almost decided to just give up and use one of the personalised coke bottles :rotfl: and I had a lightbulb moment
:D I remembered those stupid little plastic bottles we used as triggers for mini deodorants :T:T PERFECT :T:T yes I had to go and search with them cross legged but they saved the day! See....triggers aren't useless! :rotfl::rotfl:
I got to the pee clinic with my 2 samples in a bag. I felt very conspicuous. I felt better when I got there though as everyone else......despite being at least 30 years older than me.....had bags too :rotfl:things were running late so I passed the time playing guess what container they used for their pee :rotfl::rotfl:
I wasn't prepared for a hartleys jam jar and a 1/4 bottle of grouse whisky as containers though :eek: not to mention a 7up bottle!! and a thankfulness that the man with the grouse bottle didn't have dementia and leave it on a bus next to a person who liked a drink
Easily solved. Sold over counter at chemist. Just ask for it back each time. They do say not to use anything that has contained previous things. Think we found about 30 empty ones at dad's as my ex used to bring them home from hospital he worked in by the box full as people always asked him for them.
If you have a nice gp they will happily give them out but it's all about the budget.
You could have fun writing all sort on calender that will make ds2 face red but not want to ask. The rest of us would put hospital instead of facial so not to be quite about cost, well those with oh anyway.
You did miss our spa day for my dd's 31st birthday. Lakeside road trip on the Thursday, premier inn in bedford the full Friday at spa. I had to drag them out at 7pm as knew dgd would be waiting with cake for mummy. Definitely started something as N loved her first time and we only missed Ladyshopper by a day.
DD and N get on so very well together which meant I got time to rest on water beds once in a while. Very heavily rainy day and tortuous drive home due to operation stack but had a really fab time. This got us in mood to finally book holiday.
Next time I fancy one in my link but I might be a naturist but I would always carry a small towel to sit on.:rotfl::rotfl:
Just enjoyed one of the alcoholic slushes we got from cos earlier in year. Very nice.
