Sending you a hug, must have been a very difficult experience.
Thanks for all the well dones, certainly put me in a happier mood today despite my lack of sleep.
Stoma nurse had to dislodge wound dressing to get at bag. Means the leak that comes out of my belly button that's normally contained by the dressing wasn't last night.
Still waiting for district nurse to come, they're late today, on a day when I need a good clean up. Typical!0 -

I had a load of paperwork from the new hospital to fill in. Included was a family medical history sheet which wanted as much family history as I could provide.
I filled in details of my parents' demiseand that was all I knew properly  I had vague details in my head of my maternal grandfathers health later in life.....
I knew my maternal grandmother died very young and I was a child at the time but I've never known what she died from and by the time I got curious enough to ask, there was no one left to ask
I think all this is being magnified by my emotional trip last weekend.
Anyway I found grandfathers papers and as I thought, he died from heart problems. As for grandmothers papers I found very littleand no death certificate. No idea why that is and there's no reason why I shouldn't have it. So of course I was like a dog with a bone then
:o
So I've been online......Scotland's people website........and I found her. I was very sad to learn that she was 51 when she died:( I knew she was young but that seems shockingly young!.......at my current age anyway. So I've ordered a copy of the certificate. Chances are it might not tell me anything, as death certs are notoriously ambiguous and will only record the terminal event. But we will see.....
Dad was 'adopted' so there's no history to find there. An unplanned thought provoking evening
My OH had an aunt who we think died early, possibly in her 30s, possibly of cancer but try as we might I can't find any reference or documentation. we know the name but it might have variations and we know possibly where she lived but not the DOB probably the 1930s - don't even know where she was buried - its a strange one. I always wonder if its one of those hereditary female cancers.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Check your emails if you are registered with the insiders...they have a new campaign.
seems as if its some remote device that you can check your home when away from it...sadly its another one of the campaigns where they want an upfront deposit of £99 as security if the device is lost or broken whilst testing...
apparently after the trial you can either send it back or purchase it at a reduced cost..
not one for me...but I guess somebody does these trials else they wouldnt keep offering them.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

And all he brings is misery - the reminder for the final holiday repayment - just as they are starting to discount faresOH well at least we have a huge chunk of on board credit to spend on trips so I can at least start making a short list of the excursions we might do - we like ones involving wine
Also a letter from HMRC with OHs new tax code
And one from HSBC to say my own life insurance is going up 5% again this year.
