    Good morning all.
Happy Birthday emmap, have a lovely day.
Happy anniversary Snap-ant and Fourp. How many years?

I spent most of yesterday at the hospital with Mum and her partner. He has been very poorly, has had lots of tests and went for a echocardiogram. It showed a collection of fluid in the sac around his heart, and a chest xray showed fluid on his lungs. He has heart failure and his ankles are grossly swollen. The Dr decided to keep him in to give him iv diuretics to try to get rid of the fluid as he is having difficulty in breathing. There is an underlying possible diagnosis of lung cancer, to be confirmed by a biopsy next week.:(

Feeling very sad for Mum, as she has already been through this with my Dad 12 years ago when he passed away from cancer. She has been so happy over the last 7 years with her partner and it's such a shame.
I'm supporting them both as much as I can. I'm pleased that he is in hospital to get sorted out, and that my Mum can have some rest. She has lost so much weight and looks so frail.:(

    Morning

Looks like I missed loads of birthdays yesterday. Hope all of those celebrating had a good one.

AAU was yours official? it doesn't seem a year since your last one  :rotfl::rotfl:

Im off to have my day wandering round a beautiful garden before I head back to reality and normality.....both of which I've missed this weekend. I spoke to DS2 on the phone last night and asked if he'd missed me. He said 'not really, only when I've needed my teeth brushed. My dad isn't that gentle' :heartpuls

    Have a good day all

Yes, it was my official birthday this time

Ta for this:j My date bar MOC is missing :(

So I just take a cup to the CS desk and say cappuccino? Along with With my newspaper, magazine, schloer and Yeos
    Ditto for OH

Sunday newspapers def come under the wanton extravagance categories now - like buying Mars bars unless TCB give you 40p :D

Please can I ask is there anything else I can get in waitrose to use a MOC? Waitrose is slightly off our normal patch so each trip has to be meaningful :)

I've been getting my Mars Bars from Sains locals/petrol stations :money:

Please can someone tell me how I do this. My PayPal has one email address, one snail address, one password - how do I add other emails?

just be aware that each time a payment is sent to any of your registered email addresses the person sending the payment (in this case shopiteyes) gets an email to say "you've sent £x to Joe Bloggs" regardless of which of the email addresses is used

That's how MSL tripped some of us up a few years ago

Right, here's a question for you all re: these Sainsbob promos for 200 nectar points when you next shop in a local/petrol station...

The missus and I have linked our nectar cards. The T&Cs say once per person and points will be added to the primary account...do you think that means we can both claim each offer and the primary account will be credited twice?

I'm thinking "yes", because we each had to activate the offers separately when we logged in but just wondered if anyone had dealt with similar before

    Thank you kindly

Didn't know that but i've made a few withdrawals on each without incident, so far.

When bending t&cs it always best to withdraw/spend asap otherwise if your caught and they suspend you could lose plenty. I always spent apg evouchers the same week i got them before they suspended me.

Of course having enough names/bodies for accounts is helpful too ;)
