I've only got 1000 pts atm so will buy £4.99 worth of batteries using nearly all of my points and then get the 1000 pts back - free batteries
you are right :j
My head is still thinking in double up - 500 points was half a pizza express deal.
Not that spending £2.50 in Argos is any easier than spending £5
looking at the page OH tore out for £4.99 you can get a sandisc memory stick which could be useful
but its even more of a challenge now to spend just £2.50 :T“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Boo, tictac have pulled the cinema tickets offer
They've done it in the past so hopefully they are just restocking....Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -
ta for this, a good find.
I've got an expiring APG to use up - 2 actuallyso I am off to sada later - if I can compose a suitable
sada v !!!!!! list
otherwise it will just have to be cat food and walkers.
Mt2m also mentioned it 2 days ago...
they should be £2.10 @T, not sure how they compare, according to MSM should be N/A vs S, M, W0 -
Groupon are now taunting me by sending me a 15% discount code valid until Saturday for afternoon teas
.
I had a good trawl through yesterday - we have a VIP coming next week so I thought an afternoon tea might be a nice activity. But as there are 3 of us I would need to buy a vouher for four people - no real problem eating extra cake and drinking extra tea
I found one quite close by but looking at the tripadvisor reviews of people using a groupon voucher it was totally condemned as being nothing like what was advertised. Then I found another but way off our booked route and in not a nice setting.
I wondered if the code could be used on something similar so I tried soup, sandwich and cupcakes - sadly the code would not work.
so this idea is very firmly scratched now
I am trying to use it on that too, for Llandudno but no joy, I'm on live chat!:)0 -

You must be looking at the same one as me
I expect they will say no but its always worth trying live chat“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Not sure if it was here that I saw this yesterday, if so thank you to the OP
Check your sainsburys nectar account for new bonus items - even if you checked it already this week check again as new ones have been listed and some need you to activate them
One very nice one is to spend £5 in Argos using your nectar card - 500 points and then 1000 will be added back onto your card - so this is one that you need to activate - don't just go to Argos and hope it works
I found it on OHs account yesterday but then when I rechecked mine today its also on mine :j
I set OH the challenge of finding something for £5 so he looked at the new catalogue and straight away he came up with a recharging thingy - for £4.99 - when I said that was no good, had to be at least £5 the catalogue went in my direction :rotfl:
so now I have to tell him the challenge is now to get 2 things for £5 or more before August 19th
so can anyone suggest anything - the only thing I really need is towels and only sale ones - what else can you get for a fiver in Argos?
The one good thing about this is that we now have Argos inside our sainsbobs so this saves having to go into town and 70p in parking. The downside is that they opened the slurry pit close to our store yesterday and it reeked, even inside the store :rotfl:
Not sure if it's been mentioned as I haven't caught up yet but 500 point = £2.50 spend in Argos

Does anyone live near Santa Pod? If so, what has the rain been like there/what is it like at the moment?
Cheers.
I'm in northampton, so not a million miles from Santa Pod, and it pretty rainy here.
Woke up at 7 to a wet bed.
One of the tubes to my bags had somehow disconnected, so sopping pyjamas, towel, sheet and mattress. Bedding etc in wash, only have baby wipes to scrub mattress so done what I can and I'll leave to air until bedtime tonight. Hoping it doesn't stink.
Not a great way to wake up but never mind. Decamped to the sofa for the day so mattress can dry. Might shove some bicarbonate on top of it to hopefully lift smell.
I've got a weird sensation in my back. Think it's to do with the epidural I had. Nothing in there now obviously, but feels as if something coming out of it. Will mention it to district nurse, but don't suppose there is anything they can do. It's not painful, just unpleasant.
Other than that no change here.
Snap, I thought of you with the vente privee Kipling stuff. I bought a suitcase from there last year and quite tempted by another!0 -

text one of your expected visitors to bring you a Neutradol Gel Odour Destroyer - you can get them in poundland - its a very discreet little white pot and its quite good for disguising nasty niffs - I take one on holiday with us - I've a very sensitive nose and always find bathrooms esp cruise ship bathrooms a bit wiffy“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
