A Kindle would be perfect & if he's in Hong Kong he could pick up an e reader/Kindle for little or nothing.
I think a Kindle registered in UK he could get the free Kindle books from UK site on it. You can also get free e books elsewhere - loads of sites.

I used to take about a dozen books with me on holiday, swap them with someone else and come back with half that number. Now I just take a Kindle with probably near to 2K books on.

Yes it's something we should have thought about before he set off - but it was very rushed in the end.
He has some time off over the next few weeks so the book situation will be sorted and he may well get an e reader as well.
I also think he is reading a lot more than at home - no Tv or pub distractions :)

Anyone looking for cheap holiday clothes (Sarahdol?;)) Debenhams have added some things to their clearance sale lots 70% off including designer bikinis and swimsuits. :D (Some just over £10 for a set. ;))

Little tip if you click on size of either bikini bottoms or tops that you are when you click on the item Debenhams helpfully show the other things still available in that range so you can very quickly tell if you can get a matching pair. :T

I had ordered some bikini tops for DD2 last week and they didn't fit her so I didn't open the bottoms you can't return them once opened, the tops fitted DD3 perfectly but until today her size bottoms had not been in stock and miraculously have appeared available. :j

Also some lovely summer dresses for about £10. :)

EDIT: my links did not work that I sorted into lowest to highest price so just posting link to whole of sale.

It does, guess the reason for poor exam results?

    (I had poor exam results)

    No not at all...
They were AS level and the decision is now over which subject to drop going forward to A level...the one DS had assumed he would swap has turned out to be his best grade...

The other 3 subjects are still on target for the grades he hopes for next year to secure his uni place

    that's strange.

googling it this seems to be a new fish and chip shop, not open long so I cant find any tripadvisor reviews or photos yet.

I was trying to see if there was any cheaper parking close by but it seems not - it looks closer to the big shopping place

It's right by the parish church so you can t miss it lol. You get 3 hours free parking in the Tesco and Asda in the town Tesco s slightly nearer with about a 5 to 10 mins walk.

    That's even better :j

Yes I know where Tesco is :D we used to get to Wrexham about once a month. I suppose this is another fall out from the time mr !!!!!! clamped down on MOC usage - we used to visit !!!!!! all over the place in whatever direction we were going in so that we didn't get our faces too known in our local stores :)

I wish I was going for 2 weeks, I only booked for one as we have Mr TS's big birthday end of September I need to get organised for and I didn't want to go in the summer holidays besides it made it far more expensive.

It was my big birthday present to myself a real treat I hope. :D

I wish I was going for 2 weeks as well - 2 weeks anywhere :) all I've managed to book is 2 days.

But the builder is coming to do the en suite in a few weeks time, OMG how much is this going to cost! So far I think the floor tiles might be about £100 as will the loo and basin , shower enclosure might be up to £500 with all of the bits, then there are wall tiles, wall plastering and painting, whatever happens to the light ...
