I really like the BNI flatbreads - is there not a family member/friend/neighbour you can pass them to?

Nope - can't give them away, have tried! Too many calories & too little garlic taste. I've tried mushrooms on top, peppers, pesto etc. but we still don't find them very good. Love Dr O mushroom & garlic though.:D Yum yum!

Di - best of luck for later today. Hope it goes well for you.

My mum being laid to rest was delayed through choice by around a week so that DD2 could attend something at uni that wasn't going to be repeated. I am not sure what the rest of the family thought about the delay but I know my mum would not have wanted her to miss anything important.

I don't think my mum's generation would have even entertained the idea of putting off a funeral and would have just taken the first date given. Maybe just a sign of times changing.

My sisters f-I-l had to go into cold storage for a month - they have their own business and when it happened they were shortly going off to Australia on a business trip, one that would have been impossible to rearrange. So it was nearly a month before the funeral took place

    I so get that!

I'd be on the bones of my skinny arris if it wasn't for my Dad :o he really did work hard and think hard about me. there is no better thing you can leave behind than to look after your kids after you are gone. He would be so happy that you are benefitting the way you are :A and its what he worked hard for. Depending on your beliefs.....I guess he is smiling very much right now :A

I'm now starting a campaign to get me to 55 where I can claim my civil service pension :D I added extra years to it when I took redundancy and it's a nice pot! I'd like to spend it going on holidays and having fun :D

and at 55 you can also draw down 25% of your pension pot without incurring extra tax :D

so that's another reason to keep going as long as possible :D

    Morning everyone.

M&S meal deal is back but could I ask, is it possible to buy 2 sides or 2 desserts in one meal deal? Ta.

I could do with a good Marks meal deal, seem to have an over abundance of credit vouchers and gift cards

Last week I noticed they had a few wine bottles marked down to £4.50 - white and red but sadly only 3 reds left. They also had the buy 6 get 25% off.
I was thinking maybe 4 bottles of wine plus a couple of meal deals - so £20 for wine and £20 for meal deals less £8 wine deduction (thinking meal deal wines are £6) and £5 for the voucher they sent me - £27
sadly only 3 bottles left so that would have meant getting 3 meals deals - they used to have a passion fruit sponge which was great, easily made desserts for 2 days and the meals were not good either ...
