Barclays 'Switch Guarantee'

My mother is looking to open a current account with Barclays. At the moment all her payments (DWP and occupational pension) go into a Halifax savings account (no card just a passbook).

Can somebody tell me if these type of payments that currently go into a savings account can be included in the Barclays switch service?

Thanks

You can't switch from a Savings account to a Current account - the switch service is only current account to current account.
