I posted a message about my computer suddenly going very slow and you asked me to get some info. I am sorry not to have come straight back to you but have been going to and fro to hospital. Info below:

If it's running from c:\windows\system32 then it's valid. If it's using the thick end of 100% CPU time, read this article here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555021

If you have a HP printer or have had one in the past, this is part of the software installed by it.

Can't find anything for that however Adsoftware is an Adware provider used by some programs like Kazaa.

You mean svchost.exe? That's a Windows file and OK. If it's running at 100%, there's an issue with Microsoft Update that was fixed a while back.
