Afternoon - just popping in to say what a lovely day it's been here so far. After all those miserable days of rain and more rain it's so nice to have sunshine.

This picture is of where I was doing my two hours of work this morning.

Thanks - it even makes ME wonder why I'm jetting of to Australia this weekend.

Afternoon all,

All well here, bit cold but have got used to wearing a cardigan again.

4 chicken carcasses that I boiled yesterday are now draining, will make soup tomorrow I think, visiting the twins in the morning I think, they are doing well thanks Ruby, gaining weight and feeding at breast when DD is there, so fingers crossed they will be home soon.

Csarina....hope that you get your shower sorted soon, not sure when I had a bath as its too difficult to get in and out....used to enjoy a soak but shower is so much easier.

Fish and veg with steamed new potatoes this evening for dinner, it is good to be able to feed DD 4 and family, takes a load off them not to have to shop and cook.

Dogs feeling very lazy today, sleeping in their favourite spots for the last couple of hours, will have to eject them when they wake as they are both putting on weight...which is not good.

Lyn....you and He Who Knows really make me feel guilty...we should have lots of fruit and veg but apples., tomatoes and leeks are our only crops this year, really have to get organised early for next year.

Really must get dinner organised.....

Lovely here today as well, washing was done and on the line before 6.30 am this morning, I had one of those keep waking up nights In the end I got up at 5am and started pottering doing some bits and bobs.
DH was surprised that I was up so early, but he said he had the same sort of night and so did DD.

So I am going to have an earlyish night tonight, right after Ripper Street :cool:

DH has now finished work for a fortnight, we haven't booked anything because I have more hospital and clinic appointments , so we are just going to do a few nights B&B and have some cheap days out, probably go to the zoo a few times because we are members and it will only cost the price of the picnic and maybe a train trip if we go to London zoo, I haven't been there since I was a child.
It is amazing to think that the whole of London zoo will fit into the Rhino paddock at Whipsnade :eek:

Off to buy a new fold up scooter at the weekend because mine has died totally, even the charger has given up the ghost

Dinner tonight is lemon chicken with stuffed mushrooms and new potatoes.

Ouchy, that's a lot to have to find if you weren't expecting it!

Doglets have had a lovely game in the garden, been groomed and fed, and are now sprawled on the lounge floor. Mr LW will help me walk them later, as they're too much for me to cope with alone.

Luckily they're happy to do their "business" in the garden if need be, so we have two games sessions during the day, and what I call an "enrichment walk" for a change of scenery in the evening.:o And we can drop any used poo-bags in the poo-bin on the way.;)
