someone attempting to log on with my username

Hi,not sure if I've posted in the correct place!

I've just received an email from Money Saving Expert,to say someone has tried logging into my account.:money:
Normally I don't bother logging out,so didn't think anyone else could try to log in at the same time.
What I'm really wondering is why anyone would try logging on. Is there some evil intention?
What if anything should I do now ?

Someone may have done so by mistake......I don't think anyone would be trying to hack your MSE account. I doubt there is anything of use in there.
You could just change your password to be on the safe side, but, as they didn't get in, they don't have it.

You can logon to MSE on multiple devices at the same time, at this moment in time I'm logged on twice.

Maybe it was Doakie, with a typo.

If in doubt, change your password. It's good practice to change passwords from time to time anyway.

But it's even easier with a greater post count.

True, but, I doubt that was the reason or they would have been trying it with more than just one account.

if they had known your password, they wouldn't be 'trying' to login, they'd be in.
