Hi all, my wife and I have had our heads stuck in the sand for many years now and have only just got to the point where we feel we can start to claim monies we may be entitled to, in other words we are able to pay people at the moment and keep them off our backs!
I have read numerous threads and although I now have a basic idea I wanted to ask some questions.
all of the companies we owe money too we don't have accounts with any more and some we have settled so;
Both of had loans with LloydsTSB in the past with PPI and some were paid off in full inc. the PPI when we got other loans to pay them again with PPI, so how do I go about getting the history information from Lloyds about the current loans/account numbers, credit cards etc, what letter do we send and are they obliged to tell us, we also have the same issue with egg!
My wife had accounts with Adams and Next which had PPI on but where do you go to try and claim this back as Adams have gone (I think there finance was backed by creation Finance)
Also I had Egg and Morgan Stanley dean witter credit cards but they have now gone so I have no clue who to contact to get outstanding balances and any history of the accounts?
Lastly for the minute, we have some credit peole who contact us, capquest for instance who say they represent arrow finance, but we have no idea who arrow finance are or who the represent can they do this and how do you find out who you owe as at times it looks like we owe similar sums to several different people!
I know this looks bad and admit we buried our heads in the sand and had done so through illness (worry etc) but we are through tha and now trying to sort ourselves out, thanks for you help and suggestions in advance

Check your credit reports to see if you owe money to anyone, if nothing appears on them , the debts are probably statute barred. Go tot eh debt free wannabe board for more advice on this, but check your reports first, and read the letters they are sending. They may just be fishing.
To get records fo your accounts with any company, you need to send a SAR and £10 to see whats left, and if there are account numbers etc, there's a link to a SAR in the sticky post.
Adams and Next won't have been regulated prior to January 2005 so leave them alone for now.
Egg is Canada sqaure operations, look online or do a search on this forum for addresses [search tool above] but you may need to send a SAR and £10 to each of those too. Be aware that Egg cards can be difficult to complain about and be successful because most were sold online, but that isn't set in stone depending on the date of sale.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
As before, you can send a SAR to each lender but firstly phone their PPI helplines, numbers on their websites under "complaints" section and see if they have details of the loans etc with account numbers. I think Lloyds produce their own PPI questionnaire. It might mean you can submit your claim immediately instead of waiting up to 40 days for a SAR response.0
