CMS LTS / ZZPS / Wright Hassall

Long time viewer first time poster... HELP PLEASE

I have spent hours - literally hours in fighting a few cases regarding parking ticket's for relatives, and days (if not weeks) reading through existing forum's, and used your advice every time. Fortunately for two of my relatives, it has worked, however for my own issues, it is not working. To set the tone, i will not use personal information, or exact times / locations of incident's to protect my identity (understandably) and feel i have already followed everything to the letter (from what i can see anyway!)

Towards the end of 2014, i managed to rack up over 10 'Parking Charge Notice's whilst parking close to a place i visit regularly. Upon viewing the forum for anything relating to Comprehensive Management Services, i took the advice to 'ignore' any and all letter's from CMS.

I recieved a number of NTK's (equal to the number of PCN's recieved) in the post (some were valid, some were not due to being outside of the 59 day window) but again never responded. to any of these. I recently recieved a letter from ZZPS, followed by a second letter which was 'returned to sender' as addressee unknown (my way of ignoring them). I continued to follow the advice of the forum, and always check the return address before opening letter's, so if they are from ZZPS i can return them as addressee unknown.

Recently, i have recieved a letter from Wright Hassall saying i owe them a lot of money (won't go into specific's) for admin fee's, PCN fees etc. From reading other forums i believe that as Wright Hassall are acting on behalf of ZZPS, they have no grounds to claim (oor perhaps even it is ZZPS writing to me pretending to be Wright Hassall!) I did however phone their offices (with my number blocked and without talking) just to see what the automated line message said. It said - you guessed it - Wright Hassall. I got through to a scumbag at their office who when i asked who he worked for, he claimed it was Wright Hassall.

My question's are the following;
- Do they have any grounds to continue pursuing me, to the point where i am taken to court
- Should i write to Wright Hassall complaining (perhaps about the staff member i spoke to? (As he doesn't work for them and claims he does))
- Should i completely ignore the letter and hope it goes away (and what is the likelihood i will be taken to court for doing this)
- And finally, how can i ever thank all of you guys for all the forum post's so far especially the sticky threads! they have helped me get two relatives out of 'Parking Eye' fines!

Any advice / guidance would be appreciated, i just haven't found a clear answer in any existing forum :(

Much love!

Don't know where you saw any advice here last year to ignore your tickets.

Now its too late really to do anything but wait and see if you get any court claims.

Read up on the newbies sticky thread on what to do about debt collectors letters (which is basically ignore) and if you get any court claims then the same thread will help you out on what to do.

the advice to appeal and not ignore changed on this forum in march 2013 , about 5 months AFTER the POFA 2012 act came into being

after march 2013 nobody on this forum or pepipoo advised the ignore option for tickets in england and wales

I was following the appeal option over 2 years ago with relatives , friends and family

as for wanting advice, just put wright hassell (or right hassle) and ZZPS into the search box and see what the advice for this year is, reading threads with 2015 advice only

post #4 of the newbies sticky thread deals with debt collectors, including zzps

only the landowner or the actual PPC can issue court proceedings and they have 6 years to do so under small claims court rules (MCOL)

    NEVER phone them.
  • Hi guys and thanks for responses. I've read through threads but can't see any instances where multiple tickets were recieved. As for ignoring pcn's, perhaps this was an old thread? No point in me dwelling now as nothing can be done but should I respond to them? Or is the advice the same for multiple parking tickets? It wasn't that I overstayed, the car park is free to permit holders and is not pay and display which again no threads seem to relate specifically to that? Is the advice the same for all instances?
  • I was careful on the phone and blocked my number. Did not give any information out and simply asked who the operative worked for before hanging up, just thought it would be interesting after reading that they pretend to be Wright hassall

Just ignore them, and wait to see if they try court action (Letter Before Action/ Letter Before Claim or stamped court papers, but it'll come from CMS).

You could, if you wanted, file a complaint with the SRA about the misleading letters wright hassal / ZZPS are sending you, as you believe they are attempting to defraud you. It's almost garaunteed that they are doing something wrong.

Do be prepared for a possible court case, 10 tickets(and counting) makes it worth their while to consider doing so. Come back if you do get REAL court papers (phone court to confirm)
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

I agree with Herzlos, make a formal complaint of unprofessional conduct to the SRA,
