If a franking machine was used to print the postage how do you tell if it was sent 1st of 2nd class.

If you are going to start judging seller performance on franking costs, they pay for ink about 4p an item, a service contract, cost of the machine and fees related to price changes and licencing.

There are slightly reduced rates for postage via a franking machine...so a standard 1st class postage franked label would be less than the cost of the corresponding stamp.
