MOT near Harwich International Port
I am returning from Russia/EU and based on advice by the DVLA I need to get my car MOT'd (MOT & tax have expired a while ago) as soon as arrive (a pre-arranged appointment).
Unfortunately my ferry gets in at 1945 on a Thursday, so most garages are shut as it would be outside the usual business hours

I will likely be questioned by the police on entry so I think that I could drive as far as Colchester for a 'local/nearest MOT test centre'. Any further than that I would have a hard time convincing them that it is 'local'.
Are there any 24 hour garages that would serve my car for an MOT between (and including) Harwich and Colchester?
If not then it will be a 'next day' appointment where I would have to drive to the test centre and leave my car there and take a taxi with a load if suitcases to my B&B. I prefer the first option
