Probate Query.

Advice please. A mother dies and leaves property and total assets,approx £300k to her only 2 children,daughters in their 50's. No debts. Probate granted and property on the market.Solicitor dealing with Probate advises that no monies will be paid out until 6 months after the sale? Never heard of this before.Any advice please.
