No, however more than doubling our electric usage from around 6000kwh to 17,000kwh is rather concerning! This is what the complaint is about. I am willing to be more than fair with them and pay what I owe, however I don't want to pay over the odds.

The organisation/logic skills at SP seem to be lacking. I told them about the faulty meter, raised a concern over the rather high estimate..... they simply asked me to supply a meter reading!

So you've only been in the property for a month, you have reported an issue with the meter being faulty and the supplier has made arrangements for that to be seen to, yet they have already supplied you a bill???

Please post a legible image of said bill here (remove personal info first)

If no one turns up, then you will have to make another appointment.

It almost certainly won't be Scottish Power that has been appointed to do the work, so you can't blame Scottish Power if the person doesn't turn up to the appointment. But you will need to contact SP if that is the case to get them to arrange a new appointment

Sorry, I mean if they turn up and DONT replace the meter..... rather than not turning up at all.

By the sounds of it form other posters, its likely that it will take at least 2 visits to resolve the issue. meanwhile I am being estimated more than twice that of what I used at my last place.

Yes, billed for 3 or 4 days. Granted the bill amount is quite low (around £20), but its getting me concerned that I am going to be landed with a whopper soon and with SP being difficult to deal with, I want to move away and back to Eon where I have had much better customer service from!

You wont be landed a whopper because they have no idea what your usage is.You won t be switching supplier neither till Scot Power arrange with your local DNO to exchange the dud meter.

but when they have more than doubled my estimated usage and don't seem to be listening to logic and reasoning!
