Easyjet has got to be the sorest looser around. - I got fully compensated (almost)

After more than a year and a total of 7 unanswered letters/emails (yes I have considerable patience) I gave up and took easyjet to county court as they had completely ignored all requests for the compensation we're all entitled to after they cancel flights giving less than 14 days notice as outlined in 16.3 of their Carrier's Regulations and in accordance with EC regulation 261/2004.
As expected they ignored the court and I obtained a judgment in default. :j Unsurprisingly they were in no hurry to pay and after a number of calls I eventually had a call from their legal department to say they would pay by the end of the week. (3 weeks ago).
As I had heard nothing, I called today advising that if they didn't pay immediately I would start enforcement proceedings. (I was planning to go down the 3rd part debit order route and target their bank.) Eventually after a number of phone calls and considerable messing around I spoke to someone who confirmed I had been paid 2 weeks ago, it transpires that they had paid the compensation onto the credit card I originally ordered the tickets with over a year and a half ago. But elected not to tell me they would do this or had done this.
Now here's the twist. The judgment was for a total of £213 and in an amazingly arrogant fit of sourness they have refunded me... £212.99p (I'm seeing baby, pram, toys) :rotfl::rotfl:
I'm almost bloody minded enough to start the enforcement action simply for the principle.
Blood, Stone, Easyjet. - Has anyone else had such experiences?

Since they've been so petty and vexatious I would be very, very tempted to take out a warrant of execution, just to show them two can play that game. A bailiff turning up at their head office should wipe the smirk off the face of the jerk in their legal dept who decided to play games with you.
They haven't paid in full. Simple as that. Rules are rules.0 -
As they havn't paid in full then add on a £30 charge, then another £27 for a doorstep collection.0

Is that not a contradiction in terms, Fully almost!
Well done though for getting fully almost back!
Big companies need things like this to happen to them, i think they are getting too big for their own boots!0 -

I would go for it!
they are sticking two fingers up to the courts, who the hell do they think they are
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
For such behavior could either the individual (whose details I have) or company be held in contempt of court. Because you are right this is a sort of two finger salute to me/the court.0

Start enforcement action. Suggest the balif seizes property such as a plane that's on the runway ready to take off untill they pay up in full.0

I say go for them! I had trouble with easyjet when they cancelled the return leg of flight (not both parts)! In the end after much negotiation with them they agreed that I could fly back into Luton rather than Bristol and they would then pay us back for taxi's for me and the rest of the party back to Bristol.
Now this was actually a stag trip and so there were 16 of us, none the less I arranged a bus for the cost of £245. When we got back despite having it in writing that we would be reimbursed it still took 5 weeks for the money to come through and then they insisted that it could only be paid back onto the card I had paid for the flight with! This despite the fact that the bus had been a completely seperate transaction and hadn't been done using the same card!
They just would not mve and in the end I gave up and had to juggle my finances considerably!
I gave in so maybe its time someone didn't! Take them to the cleaners!0 -
Well done!
Since they have failed to pay the full amount ordered by the court, you now have no option but to take enforcement action. Get yourself down to your nearest Easyjet airport, complete with a bailiff in tow, and take out a lien on a 'plane or three! And can I play with the controls while you are waiting for them to make payment?0
