Hey
Last week a viewed a car and put down a deposit along with signing the agreement of how much I owed and also that the dealership would put a new hood on the car, after this I had a phone call saying they didnt realise how much this would cost and would like me to help pay for it.
Do I have too as they already said they would replace the hood (also they signed a agreement saying they would so its all on signed paper)
When I go to the dealership should I refuse too pay the extra money as it isnt in the signed agreement? Thanks

Get your deposit back and look for another example.0

This ^^^
If it's in the signed agreement that they'd pay for a new hood, then they haven't got a leg to stand on. You don't have to pay anything towards it - and are entitled to your deposit back if they won't play ball.
Sounds like they're trying it on, to be honest - I can't believe a dealership didn't know, or at the very least couldn't look up, how much it was going to cost right from the outset.0 -
Im gunna go there and speak to the owner with my signed papers with a grin on my face and watch him try and come up with some pathetic way to try and get me to pay extra. Should of heard him on the phone, he know he had no legs to stand on!0

You may want to be careful because did you specify a brand new hood from a reputable supplier or some cheap thing that wont last more than a few months?
They maybe scouring the scrapyards as you sit there now.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
They're having a brand new one made by a specialist as they are not made anymore, put themselves in a bad position! They screwed up and expect me to pay the price Litterally!
The car is in top condition and has very low milage
Also I was told when viewing the car that when the car is sold a new hood would be put on.0 -
