2 years on.... nothing

Dear all

I have now officially had my compliant agreed by FOS for 2 years, 1 month and 1 day without moving any further forward.

I have also had to fight against RBS who lied about taking out loans ( I didnt until 5 years later) and generally sending out other policy holders details to me without their permission.

I try not to think about it, but it makes me so mad that I was an impressionable 20 year told being told I must have this or I would end up bankrupt - I don't care about the money (its small c£200 of course would love it) the main reason is the fact they lied to me and just wanted to get me to take it out so they got paid on that insurance.

Now I start the wait again - heard from FOS. Ombudsman will review shortly. That was on 24th June. I continue to wait.

Anyone else in a similar position?

Wow that is a long time. I imagine it will be taking a long time because of the detail involved although if only for a small amount you wonder why it is taking so long. Perhaps they have overlooked it?

I only sent my complaint off at the beginning of July (mine is with the TSB) and they have been quite prompt so far. I had a call re my credit card PPI last week and the loan PPI yesterday. I hope to hear in a few weeks but reading your thread it shows that not all investigations are done in the 8 week timescale they say they will respond in. Each case is different though.

Hopefully you will get your outcome soon so that you can move on from it. The stress isn't worth it is it

its pretty standard going to FOS nowadays for PPI. Shame really because its so small I thought they would just pay and be done say sorry but nope RBS must have spent a small fortune defending this!

I still havent heard anything - its been 25 nearly 26 months!! Crazy I think. Never mind I will of course update you all when I do hear back

Join the club! I've got two outstanding PPI complaints with FOS that have breached the two year advisory wait. I don't know if there's anything else you can do.

Hi Sun thanks for the reply... I just feel so frustrated - my bank has also lied and said that I took out a loan so PPI justified ( I didnt - not until 5 years later!) and therefore I just want an answer either way...

I calculated mine was about £330 including the interest so must have got it wrong. amazing good luck with yours
