How to return a vax

Hello,
I purchased a vax vaccume cleaner from the vax factory sale a few months ago and have persevered with it until now, but it is incredibly difficult to use due to being very badly designed - more like a prototype than a saleable machine! the last straw was today when I realised that to remove a small blockage I would have to spend a considerable amount of time (which I don't have to spare in my current circumstances!) unscrewing parts of the cleaner to get into the affected area.
it has a guarantee but I would appreciate advice on the best way to go about returning it as I'm afraid they might refuse to accept as there's nothing 'technically' wrong with it.
Any help much appreciated
Many thanks

What is it exactly you don't like about it ?0 -
Have you contacted them? I wasn't happy with a vacuum cleaner I bought from them and they arranged for a courier to collect it - they couldn't have been easier to deal with.0

They had a design flaw on their air range causing the suction to be so strong it grips carpet and can barely move, but they have a retrofit part they send out free that clips between the hose and foot and reduces the suction enough to make it useable.0

Their service dept is actually pretty good (I've dealt with them a couple of times); they probably have to be given that Vax machines have one of the lowest reliability ratings of any vacuum cleaner.
But you've no right to a refund even if the machine is faulty, since the retailer can repair, replace or refund under warranty. Since it isn't actually faulty, and you've simply decided you don't like it because of a design weakness, they're not obliged to accept a return.
And waiting 'a few months' has weakened your case even more.
If you are making a claim under SOGA that the machine is not fit for purpose then that is another route altogether. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
