Sky Store Problems/Complaints

Hi, has anyone had any problems with Sky Store? I tried to rent a film which I then couldn't play, then a few days later I received a DVD of the same film through the post which they had charged me £13.99 for on their buy & Keep scheme. I did not buy this DVD only tried to rent it. I got a message after I had entered my PIN to do the rental saying the film would be available for 48hrs, so I defnitely did not BUY it. Sky are now refusing to refund me and let me return the DVD saying when you enter your PIN you agree to their no returns policy. Surely this cannot be legal? I always thought anything purchased online was covered by an automatic legal right to return as it is classed a buying goods which have not been seen. Am I incorrect??

Sky Store recently changed for the worse.
For most stuff now you're forced to buy the DVD if you want to rent the HD version. Which means prices have gone from what was £4-5 to "rent" a HD film to a stupid £10-£15 so they can send you the DVD version as well.
Why on earth they did this is beyond me but I don't order anything from them anymore.
It may seem like a small rant, but I don't know why they didn't just add a 3rd option for HD + DVD and keep the standard HD and SD rental versions.
Surely the whole point of the "sky store" was to have everything digital? I thought in this day and age most people are moving away from DVD's and going digital.
I used to rent a couple of films per month, but prefer the HD version over the SD version - I don't bother now as to get the HD version you have to pay through the nose just so they can send you a bloody DVD copy - I don't even have a DVD player!
Yes I'm ranting, but the whole HD + DVD thing makes no scene to me and they lost a customer over that.0 -
Never saw the point of that either. I never bother with Sky Store. It seems like a massive con. If i want to watch something in HD why the crap would i want to buy the DVD?? Surely i would want to buy the bluray.0
