I don't know whether your father lives alone or what his circumstances are now or then but were checks done on his transfer to ESA to see if he was eligible for income based ESA?
I am only trying to think of possible reasons for appeal and I may be well off the mark.
Easier said than done but there is no point in worrying until you get the decision letter.
Thank you for your reply. As you say I think the fact my father was extremely unwell at the time could be an argument. He did have a meeting at the Job centre back in 2012 to discuss ESA so they could catagorise whether he had the potential to go back to work. He had to cancel the first meeting as when they called to arrange it he was in hospital waiting for heart surgery after another heart attack. He went to the meeting when he got out though. The meeting was documented and there was no mention of his pension. It seems it was just ticked on this form in 2002 and then never mentioned again which seems crazy.0
