temp files win 10

(bottom right) settings/system/storage/this PC/tempory files / shows over a gig of files that want deleting , but nothing happens when you click remove ,the h/disk flashes for about 30 secs


those files don't seem to be see able when you use explorer/disk cleanup (inc system files)


the files are in a folder windows/windows sxs/ temp/pending deletes , 100s of them !! they cannot be deleted , or renamed ,


any thoughts?

Haven't a clue, but could they possibly be associated with the ability that is apparently only available for one month, to roll back to your earlier version of windows? Perhaps they will be automatically deleted after a month.

was a clean install , not an upgrade , seems like the old expanding winsxs folder symptom , fixed on server , 7 and 8 , running option one here: , http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/44351-winsxs-folder-component-store-clean-up-windows-8-1-a.html


summots happening , coz the red light is giving it some !




probably end up with a blank drive now !
