Selling shares the cheap way

My mum has asked me to help sell some TSB shares she has had for many years. She has given me the original certficates but I know TSB merged with Lloyds and then split again. Did they issue new certificates?
What's the most efficient way to sell the shares for her? Transfer to a nominee account, then sell? Any pointers appreciated.
Thanks

If your mother still owns the shares, they will now be in Lloyds not TSB. I don't know if they issued new certificates though - you may want to ask the Share Registrar. What's the most efficient way to sell the shares for her? Transfer to a nominee account, then sell?
Yes, this would be the cheapest way - you can use http://www.x-o.co.uk/ for this. They charge £5.95 to sell the shares.

As has already been suggested you could use someone like X-O.co.uk share dealing services (£5.95 per trade) for a cheap method of selling the shares.
Open a Share Dealing account with X-O.co.uk (free to open and no annual account charges) then transfer the shares in to your account and sell them for £5.95 per share holding.
And if you have a certificate for the shares:
How do I transfer in stock that I hold in the form of certificates?

*Recommend using Recorded/Special Delivery when sending the share certificates by post.Never let the perfume of the premium overpower the odour of the risk0 -
