I've been comping for 21 years - believe it or not the first comp I ever entered I won, and it was a corker - 2 weeks in Florida!!
After that I was hooked! Things were different back then, everything was postal based and there were tons more slogan comps around which I really enjoyed.
I've had a few months break several times (babies, job pressures, family commitments etc) but I always come to back to comping as a hobby, I enjoy it so much. And I worked out today that over the last 5 years alone I've won over 30k worth of prizes so it's a great hobby to have!0 -

Beats me by 5 years (although didn't start entering many/keeping a record until 63 months ago).0 -
about 32 years i suppose - i won a bullseye dartboard when i was 8 from the Beano :rotfl:
however i didn't really start entering competitions on a regular basis until about 2001, i won a watch and then in 2002 i won a huge prize of a trip to the world cup final in Japan all expenses paid (and no expense spared!)
prizes have been a lot leaner in recent years as more people have gotten into it, but i still enjoy it as a hobby :money:====================================
Best win all time - World Cup Final Trip to Japan :j0 -
On and off for about 3 years. Started while on maternity leave and waiting for a very overdue baby! It's also kept me busy during nap times and long nights with non-sleeping babies!0

I started in September 2012 properly. I know some have done quite well from comping and I started after my first win, which I won by October and I haven't stopped since. I have used various comping sites such as theprizefinder, Compers news, Compers haven, ninja win, twitaculous and have even done searches looking for these low entry comps that no one knows about. I love the excitement of receiving post and will never stop comping and it's such a good feeling when you win a comp for a nice prize and you are the only entrant.0
