You can always rely on governments to muck up perfectly reliable and profitable services.
To be fair, historically the land registry has been one of the better-run public services and it usually ticks away in the background almost being taken for granted.

Yes, that's what I meant. Doing well until the politicians decide to interfere.
  • FTAO: LAND REGISTRY

    Hi

I had an offer excepted on a property back in December last year, the property has not gone through first registration and it has 2 cautions against it with the Land Registry. The companies who placed the cautions on the property have agreed to have the cautions removed...and here I am still waiting.

The Land Registry received documents back in February to register the property and the companies had sent back to the Land Registry in August to have the cautions removed.

My mortgage is about to expire next month and the old lady whom I am hoping to purchase the property from is in poor health!!

The vendors solicitor have advised 'its with the Land Registry', but no time frame has been given.....I don't know if i'm going to be waiting days, weeks or months!

    Help please

I'm certain that the LR will not be able to respond in anything other than the most general terms as the property does not belong to you. After this length of time I'd be looking for something else.

Janery - apologies for slow reply on this one
There's little we can really help with on this forum unless it is general advice that you need.
As such if you Contact Us online with the specific details re address/title numbers etc then we can take a look and advise - you may have already have done this of course.
