Hmrc and sa302

Hi,

I made a phone to hmrc last Tuesday for my sa302 for last 2 years n recieved them through post on Saturday. I called the next day for years 14-15 as accountant had just submitted them. Still haven't recieved these yet?

Just abit worried as the phone call for these was only the next day...

Any idea why this may be???

Yes - on the first call you got lucky.

Expect to wait around two weeks in most cases.

Its HMRC, they do not even follow their own rules.
Assume 10 working days, anything sooner is a bonus.

I think it will be quicker at the minute as generally its April/May time and January when they are at their busiest.

I am still waiting, 4 weeks now. I rang them myself the other day to check what on earth was going on and they are still not here.

4 weeks?! It shouldn't take that long? It's always good to ask the name of who you are speaking to, so you can follow up easily. Otherwise I would tell them to post it again.

I recently had to request SA302s and they took 11 days from when I rang to when they arrived in the post. I think I was told they could take up to 2 weeks so if they still hadn't arrived by then I'd have rang and requested again.

If your accountant only just submitted your assessment, it takes around 4 working days for it to be processed and added to the system (I just had a similar situation). As for how long they take to send out, seems to be a lottery. I just received mine after 10 days, they advertise the current lead time as 2 weeks, but I hear from people still waiting after a month...

Some lenders are now accepting the latest two years' online tax calculations, backed by the online tax overview for the latest year.

Already asked that question and they said it was postal versions only. Same with bank statements which we are also waiting for. The industry needs to get into the 21st century IMHO. But its their money and thus their rules. My main concern is our application might time out as when we started the application I read that we only get 30 days to get it from start to end or we have to start the process again.

My accountant had just submitted mine for 2014-15 last Tuesday and when I phone them the following day they had them on their system and said they would post.
