my audio centre uses a sumvision micro 4 http://sumvision.com/product/Cyclone-micro-4/micro4.html
this feeds a display monitor , and outputs to a set of amplified speakers , microlab solo 15 , if I remember correctly.
the audio from the sum micro is a bit low , I have to have the amplified speakers quite high , when I imput my tv (head phone) instead , they are bloody loud!
so I think I need some sort of stereo "pre" amp , kit form or PCB style will do , available voltages on hand are 5v and 12v , any thoughts , suggestions I can follow up ?

have you turned the volume upDon't you dare criticise what you cannot understand0

Impedance matching ?Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.0

yes I have turned the volume up , the mico has a vol and also the speakers have a vol control , I have to have the speakers at about 7/10 when running thru the micro , however thru the TV (headphone) the vol is happier at about 2/10
the speakers tend to be left on , however when starting the micro or turning it off results in a rather loud £thump" from the speakers , this is a lot , lot less prominent when used thru a TV (turn tv off) , I just feel that the audio voltage from the micro is a bit low.
all the "ebay" pre amps seem to be record player magnetic cartridge , and preset , I could do with something that is adjustable (no tome required)0 -

well I have checked both sum micro , and microlabs websites to try and find more info , both are vague on this info0 -
don't really understand your problem or what you are plugging into where and when, if you amplify it, the thump will be worse, if switching the speakers off or adjusting the volume is too difficult, buy a remote mains switchDon't you dare criticise what you cannot understand0

ok , however the thump is there if I turn down the vol on the micro , because the speaker vol is set much higher than when connected to the TV0
