And now the Vultures circle...

Less than 30 hours after being made BR i received a letter from a company in Manchester, saying how sorry they were BUT if i have property they could solve all my problems for me, including overturning the BR and paying my creditors and solveing ALL my problems.
How the hell do these people get the info so quickly?
I nearly put it back in the post, return to sender, with an unpleasent word or two written in red ink across it:mad: instead it went in the bin.
The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter :(

I got that letter as well today.
    totally threw me at first.
  • not sure but they might pick up new bankruptcy details from the individual insolvency register which is on www.insolvency.gov.uk.
  • We had a good laugh at them (we got about 30 in all)

I composed a letter thanking them all for their concern and saying that if they really wanted to help they could post £1 by return and send a copy of the letter to all their contacts instructing them all to send £1 to my address.

On the bottom of the letter I added a PS " sorry about the shortfall on the postage but my wife & I are sure that, under the circumstances, you will understand that we cannot afford to pay the postage. if you return an extra £1 in your reply i will be sure to add a postage stamp on my next letter to you."

We took this stack of letters and posted them all without stamps

6 weeks and we have received no £1's in the post

Realistically that's the only place it they can have come from, since the details won't have been gazetted or advertised yet.

I didn't get one of those letters, but I got one offering to help sort out my BI.
