adhesive recommendation for toilet cistern

was storing a close coupled loo and cistern in my garage for use elsewhere. inevitable happened and the cistern got knocked breaking off a rear upper corner of the cistern (roughly palm sized). this part is above the water line, not where fixing holes to wall, not visible from front and it is a clean break.

can someone recommend a suitable adhesive to repair this please? i was thinking along the lines of an epoxy resin type product like araldite. unless you guys know of something better.
many thanks.

Araldite is probably best they work for porcelean and is waterproof too.

Why bother? You can buy a brand new close coupled pan, cistern and seat for less than £50. Repairing a cistern is absolute false economy.

I repaired a broken one by using clear sanitary silicone. It worked and has remained sound for the few years since it was repaired. I reasoned it might flex a bit so hence my gamble on silicone.
