Happy Anniversary Mr and Mrs sistercas have a wonderful day

Lovely here so washing is all finished and on the line.
Went to the zoo yesterday and had a lovely time, saw the new baby seal Oscar, he is so adoreable
The weather was perfect and we had a really nice day out, just the two of us.
Our two have asked for zoo membership for Christmas, so that is their main present sorted, I will get them a few small bits to open on Christmas day, but the membership will last all year.
Everyone is out today so I have the house to myself :j
Not much else going on so BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Hi all,
Busy, busy weekend again. DD had overdone things last week (I kept telling her she was doing too much too soon, but she can't sit still). Her bf had gone to Amsterdam for his stag do so I drove down to London on Friday to pick her up and bring her home for some pampering. She's feeling better again now, we took her home last night and cleaned the flat so she's not fretting about it. I drove home this morning so this house is a tip and I'm shattered.
I need to ring British Gas and edf about the final readings from mum's house, but it's a huge weight off my mind that the sale has gone through.
I'm still dyeing doilies to be made into table runners for the wedding, trying to finish a quilt (and my machine has decided to play up) and trying to tidy the garden.0 -
Good Afternoon everyone, it's overcast humid and quite warm here today. I popped into town on the bus to do a couple of errands for He Who Knows this morning and picked up some shopping that we needed. DD1s woodstove is back in situ after the installers came this morning, took it out, damp proof membrane down in the hearth x2 brand new thick slate hearth installed and the stove reassembled and back in place. Very good job done and all in 3 1/2 hours well done those chaps!!!
MSE is giving me real problems since Saturday I can stay in for about 1 and a half minutes before being timed out, makes keeping in touch difficult. I know some folks are affected and some not but I do hope the gremlins are removed quickly.
Happy Anniversary SISTERCAS and OH have yourselves a day to remember.
Have a nice day everyone, Lyn xxx.0 -

Afternoon all,
Sistercas - Congratulations
Very, very warm here today and very windy. I have so far got three loads of washing dry and am just about to put out the towels.
DH and I had a few lovely days down at the caravan and spent a lot of time eating out, which isn't very MSE but IS very nice to do on occasions.
DS2 is in my bad books
Thankfully he is working with DH today so I don't have to communicate with him as yet
Bought a reduced turkey piece (in the foil dish thing) which we will have with salad and new pots for dinner.
Happy Monday all.0 -

Afternoon all,
Cloudy but sunny here today, warmer than yesterday, no washing to do so cant take advantage of the nice warm winds.
DGS2 here at present, DD4 and DSILto be have gone to see and feed twins...he is only allowed in at weekend. Girls are doing very well, gaining weight.
We are having either chicken curry or risotto for dinner, not sure which yet, depends on my humour when I go to kitchen!
Sistercas, happy anniversary to you and OH....am just 20 years ahead of you.
Gers.....glad you got the starling out of your stove.
Lyn...glad that DD got her woodburner problem sorted.
Csarina....glad that things seem to be settling down for you....enjoy your birthday, not sure when it is.
Just looking out at our Bramley apple tree, it has a huge crop on it this year, will get some 'windfalls' tomorrow and make some apple cheese, it lasted for ages the last time I did it.....must consult my recipe book first.
Enjoy the rest of your day everybody.

Happy 25th sistercas. Well done for making it!
The torrential rain lasted until 9.30 and then the sun came out. The high winds are still with us but it's been a pleasant enough day.
Camelot - hope you have a fab time in Copenhagen, wonderful wonderful Copenhagen.
I've defrosted the freezer today, it was getting frosted over on the front of the drawers so it just needed done. I've put most things back now though am cooking a shoulder of lamb and some chicken kievs and will cook some mince tomorrow and freeze it again. I've got way too much meat stored in the freezer so I need to make it into meals for pulling out and reheating. I'm off to Oz at the weekend so that chore is on the list for when I return.
Most of my afternoon has been spent sorting out my music on iTunes and syncing to my iPod ready for my trip. There's so many songs with capital letters (really annoys me) and loads and loads with the singer / group inside the title box. Mostly the compilation CDs I buy (Jools Holland / Radio 1 live sessions / NOW / Dermot O'Leary etc). Had to stop to ease my back and legs.
I've now poured a glass of wine and am not doing anything. :j Freezer will beep until it reaches a proper temperature, but until then it's intensely annoying.
WB DG- good to see you posting.0
