How to find out who supplies my energy/services?
Hi all,
I have recently bought my own place so moving out of the parent home. This is my first move so I am a total noob when it comes to knowing what to do first!
I tried asking the Estate Agent before the house was bought about who supplies the energy and services but they were very unhelpful.
How would I find out who supplies Gas and the Electricity or can I just find my own and let them handle the switch? I've taken the readings down of each so I know what they are from the moment I got the keys. Just trying to avoid a huge bill!
Any advice would be much appreciated!

For gas call 0870 608 1524.
For elec call one of the numbers on this list
http://www.gocompare.com/gas-and-electricity/find-your-supplier/
Alternatively call you supplier of choice and they can tell you and start a transfer then.0 -
No, you need to be registered with the existing supplier, with whom you are already in a deemed contract, before you can commence a switch. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
