hello! is there a website to report crime online??
I used to visit a website to report crime where I was given a crime reference number, but now I cannot find it??

I understand that the national police portal has been suspended so I don't think you can report crime online at one specific website any more unless its a Fraud http://www.police.uk/information-and-advice/reporting-crime/
But if you go to your local police force website there are various options
for example Essex allow you to send an online message and they get back to you
https://www.essex.police.uk/contact_us/reporting_crime.aspx
whereas West Yorkshire allow you to report online
https://www.westyorkshire.police.uk/contact-us/report-crime
Google "report a crime online" and the name of your force and you should find more info.

The government wants the crime stats to show that crime is reducing, if you make it more difficult to report a crime some people won't bother and so therefore that crime didn't occur and they get their statistics saying how much crime is reducing, even with all the cutbacks to policing.====0 -
