Wow! New (to me) Ccleaner

My PC was getting a bit sluggish so I thought I'd follow the guidelines I've received from you techie guys and get the latest free version of ccleaner. Surprised to find that this latest version not only cleaned up for me but it's now installed and promises to keep working in the background. So in future I don't have to search for the latest version each time. Is this a result or what?

No. You have probably installed 30 day trial of Pro version.

CCleaner free version has no real time monitoring.

Every program running in the background will slow your pc down slightly

    Completely agree.

CCleaner free system monitoring runs continuously but only checks at 8 hour intervals to see whether it can save more than 0.5GB of hard drive space.

    Not worth it.
