With you on that, or even quicker leap into a coffin

If you do not know what you are doing, don't do it

I spent 5 years learning on electricity, and have now arrived at over 70 because of that training

Was once blown off seat on an electronics course, luckily for me it was survivable

Yes, you only forget to discharge HT once

You don't forget a second time.

This offer rather depends on interested but ignorant people owning a Kindle onto which to do the 27-page download.
No, you are mistaken. On the Amazon page simply click on the link to download and install the Kindle Reader App, which is also free. I'm sure most "ignorant" people who managed to log in to this forum can also install an App. ;)

Worth a thanks although I suspect that most who haven't a clue on the topic are unlikely to take a look. Hopefully the ebooks will provide enough warnings to avoid the unwary getting any shocks despite the alarmist replies here.

No, you are mistaken. Apple has tens of thousands of Apps available in its "App Store" for Apple Mac PCs (as well as iPhone and iPod-touch).

Hence the need for books to teach people how to do things safely (or avoid doing them).

From the book - relating to the dangers of trying to measure mains voltages:

    "DANGER!
As the mains voltage in the UK can be higher than 250 volts, it’s extremely dangerous to mess with it! "

    and

"I can not stress too strongly the dangers of doing this! One slip and you could kill yourself."

Bear in mind that ALL multimeters have a mains voltage setting so it's important for people to understand the potential (excuse pun) danger of using it.
