Credit card debt following husbands death

I have been dealing with my husbands estate myself.....Marktheshark wrote: »Simply write back and inform them to only write to the administrator of the estate of the deceased Mr XXXXXXX.
As the OP is the administrator of the estate, those letters will end up with her. Or do you suggest the OP should hire (at a cost) a solicitor as professional administrator?
I suppose the OP would have to pay for this, as the estate is insolvent.0

Surely, if the house was held as Joint Tenants, then you now own 100% of it, and the Estate doesn't own any of it?
So, therefore, the Estate probably comprises of:
Assets: Nil (or whatever cash was in his wallet)
Liabilities: MBNA £7000, anything else redacted for security.0
