@ChrisJJ - surely this is one for your Mother's Housing Association to deal with on her behalf.

Are you sure? It appears to be the person who has contracted with the electricity supplier, landlord or tenant as the case may be, who has responsibility. The same person can also make supplier choices and meter choices. I agree that the Housing Association should assist.
I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".

I am only suggesting that this is a Housing Association problem as it arranged for the PV solar installation. Their chosen installer needs to check all the meters which may be going backwards.

I will start by contacting the Housing Association tomorrow and take it from there. They are usually pretty helpful so it's a good place to start.

Yes Chris, its their fault. They won t know that solar panels make many analogue meters faulty and run backwards, but the suppliers should know and have no excuses. They have all the details of which meters turn faulty by the meter make and models. Its a simple check by them as soon as solar panels are fitted to check this..Hence my recent complaint to OFGEM about this. There are millions of pounds lost to the Grid giving people an unfair free electric bonanza.I ve seen meters running backwards so fast it looks like they ve got the kettle on ! backwards . The canny ones make sure that a reading from one quarter does nt appear less than the previous one.
