Help needed regarding a pcn fine!

Okay so I know you guys get posts like this all the time Basically I have parked in an abandoned pub called the Hobby Horse in Leeds. The pub is not open however somebody charges people to park here on weekdays. When working on a late shift I have parked there a several times for free as the person charging people is not there.
To cut a long story short, I have received 5 parking tickets within 2 days asking for £60 within 14 days and then it goes up to £100. The fine is from Parking Collection Services and I just don't know whether to pay it or appeal it. I was unaware of the fine or else I wouldn't of parked there and now I have 5 fines .
There is a sign on the pub that states you will be clamped if no permit is displayed but with the pub being closed I didn't think this applied. Please use this link to see someone who was in the same boat as me: forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?p=67081768&nojs=1
I just don't want to end up in court or have my car towed away. PLEASE HELP GUYS

Pay or appeal? I always appeal even if you think you are liable I would always appeal. Even if I lost the appeal I still wouldn't pay I'd appeal further and still refuse to pay.
Your car won't be towed away.
You could end up in court if you ignore it....so don't ignore it just get a short letter written and send it off.:footie:

1. It's not a fine.
2. Parking Collection Services is merely a provider of back-office services to private parking companies. What is the company that actually issued the tickets in the first instance? (According to that other thread it was JD Parking a few months ago, is that still the case?)
3. The clamping sign is rubbish, it would be illegal for them to do so.
4. You are a long way from a court and no-one is going to tow your car away (at least, not over this!)
If it is JD, this'll give you some idea of the level of pond life you are dealing with (Grinion is a director of JD):

Get yourself into the Parking Tickets subforum and start by reading the Newbies Sticky - it will see you forearmed with all the ways to see this off.
Then if this thread isn't moved there, post your own thread in that forum for more detailled advice.0
