Negative impact.

Hi there, I'm new here so please excuse me if I posted in the wrong section.

Basically I was accepted for PCP via arnold clark via a finance company. Now, arnold clark told me I was accepted and I now have the car, but the thing is, it's showing as a negative impact on my score via the finance company who accepted me.

Now my question is, if I was accepted, why did it have a negative impact on my score? Is this some sort of muck up and should I contact arnold clark to confirm?

Every time a company does a full credit search it knocks your score down regardless of the outcome

Every time you have a search or take out credit your random number is likely to reduce. As time goes by that random number will increase. Arnold Clark do not provide credit so why ask them ? You have more important things to worry about after buying a car from Arnold Shark ;)

Reflection of the fact that you've entered into a financial commitment.

No lenders see the score so the fact it knocks the score down isn't relevant.
