    Erk.

A big box arrived this afternoon, chock full of goodies from Beauty Recommended.
I had expected one or two items.
I've got a razor, shaving gel, lipstick, shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser (top-notch, identical to one I got from Az in March), a rechargeable toothbrush, toothpaste, facial epilator/facial brush.

    Crumbs.

Already posted two reviews, as all have to be up by next Friday, good job I'm used to this with Az.

Oooh lovely, Beauty Recommended is some sort of Youtube thing with the big beauty youtubers and bloggers I think.

    Morning ladies,

Another UU - yay the Aussie No Rush shower gel has gone. Vile sweet smelling stuff. WDNBA.

An IN and OUT : Vidal Sassoon hair colour.

Also IN : full sized bottle of Cutex nourishing nail polish remover. have only tiny bit left in 100ml bottle at the moment. Will repaint my nails this morning. Am going to wear OPI Thank Glogg it's Friday.

Staying over at Tulip hotel near Trafford Centre tonight. Going the see Man from Uncle and have a meal out. May have to do some shopping!

Have a lovely time and don't spend too much.

I had a sniff of the Aussie shower gels when they came out and they smelt like old bubblegum and they all smelt the same I really couldn't understand the hype.

    A couple more UU:-

    - Decleor - Clay and Herbal Cleansing Mask (sample tube suitable for one use). This had been sat around unused for many years, still seemed to be ok to use as hadn't been opened. It was ok, but I am not sure it will have me rushing out to buy. To be honest I haven't found any masks I'd class as Holy Grail bar the REN Glycolic acid exfoliating one.
Anyone found any deep moisturising ones they love?

    .

    Hi Indiepanda,

I love the Una Brennan superfacialist rose hydrate mask. Has a strong rose scent which personally I love but some may not... It's super cheap for what it is, I think about £8 in boots and always on 3 for 2 in skincare. Plumps up skin really well and hydrates for special occasions. Effects only really last a day or 2 but it's an easy one to use, I pop it on for 10 mins in the shower, rinse off and it plumps and gives a glow that lasts a day or 2. Makeup goes on really well on top also 😊

Painted my nails with Ivory Queen from Ciate and then put Essie GelSetter on top. I like this color and GelSetter really does a good job.

  • Hi all,
I'm definitely struggling with not going on a feeling-sorry-for-myself massive superdrug splurge at the moment. There's loads of stuff I want but I don't think I need any of them.

My INs are so much worse than the rest of you! I think, though, as long as my overall total goes down not up that's a win for me!

So, here's some more for August:

    OUT
10/50. UU Radox Bubble Bath - the red one. Nice smell WBA if I needed bubble bath.
11/51. UU Garnier Pure Active Micellar Water. WBA, but prefer the original pink top one.
12/52. TA LipGlam lip balm. Just... yuck.
13/53. UU Miss Sporty Liquid Concealer. WBA. Liked this a lot. Not heavy duty but good enough for most of my concerns. And cheap as chips!
14/54. UU Philosophy Purity Cleanser, 30ml. Got this in a LIB Beauty Box. Happy enough to get in another box but WNB.
15/55. UU Ikea purple candle. Nice smell, think it's meant to be hyacinth? This one tunnelled quite badly but that's unusual for Ikea ones. WMBA.
16/56. UU Nivea Soothe and Protect lip balm. WBA
17/57. TA The Body Shop Shea Lip Butter. Smelt like PlayDoh and had gone grainy. WNBA.
18/58. TA Collection Clear Mascara. I use this as an eyebrow gel and it's gone solid with the amount of eyebrow powder in it! WBA.
19/59. UU Vichy Aqualie Thermale Serum. WMBA on offer. I like the effect this has on my skin but it has an odd smell before it dries.
20/60. TA Nivea Vanilla and Macadamia Nut Lip Butter. This smells amazing but it does nothing but sit on top of my lips and it's been open for yonks.
21/61. TA Nivea Original Lip butter. TA for same reasons as above.

    IN

10/36. Tresemme Perfectly Undone Conditioner to replace a UU from last week.
11/37. Argan Oil Vit E Cream from Superdrug. I have the original one which is running low so I thought I'd give this a whirl.
12/38. Tresemme 24h Body Conditioner. Bought with offer Tresemme, both half price.
13-14/39-40. Salon Sciences Celluluxe Shampoo & Conditioner. Free gift with bargain subscription. These are meant to be £15 each! (It's 3 issues of Glamour for £3 plus this gift. Just remember to cancel the DD! https://secure.magazineboutique.co.uk/checkout/CNDE/checkout?PUBL=CNDE&PUBC=GLA&PROM=7GL14761&COUNTRY=GBR )
15-17/41-43. Lily Lolo foundation, concealer and blush away corrector. Really liked the travel size foundation I bought to try and there was 20% off plus 8% cashback on TCB so good value.

Total at start (mid June) 511, end of July 480, current 476.
    Have a great weekend everyone!

The Whittards Tea Soak sounds intriguing, I love tea, is it a nice product?

Honestly? I really wasn't sure what to make of it. I thought it was one super-large teabag until I opened the box and realised that there were four medium teabags (about three/four times the size of a standard bag.) The tea inside is a mixture of Peppermint, Rose and Jasmine - though I couldn't smell much more than the mint.

This was a gift, but I WNBA for myself (or for anyone else.)

Green Tea is really, really fabulous for soaking hot, tired feet though (so if you have any bags, or better, yet loose leaf tea) I can recommend that! And, of course, Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea selection is amazing!

Had a nice morning of pampering (after doing all of the chores.) Had a lovely bath then treated myself to a manicure - using the Sally Hansen 'Hard As Wraps' Acrylic Nail Gel. This is killer - it's a little thick so needed a little trial and error to avoid lumps - but my nails feel so strong.

Tried the Boots Protect & Perfect Body Serum as well. It's lovely. Sinks in really quickly and has left my skin feeling silky soft. Hurrah.

Oh! And can I have a 'whoop, whoop' for the first month that I have managed to stay on budget and not add anything to my debt. Paid last night and feel ecstatic! :j

A massive well done to you from me.

Referring to your earlier post I really like the Elizabeth Arden Green Tea scent, you can really smell the tea but the EDT just doesn't last. Body Shop do a tea soak for the bath but it is pricey and I don't actually need anything else.

Sorry, it's Am@zon. I have lots of stuff offered from sellers and from Am@zon themselves to review, lots of electronic bits and pieces like battery packs, cables, etc but the odd interesting thing.
A GA. A very expensive eye cream that was sent by a seller along with a serum, ditto.
Gave this to a good friend along with a brush roll and paintbrushes, novel holder for paint tubes and a set of 24 watercolours. The paints will do fine for demonstrations for her, she is a former art teacher and a professional artist.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

I have some tealights from Ikea (the scented ones) and even they are tunneling, the plain white ones are OK though.

I have the Caramel Nivea Lip Butter and the Rose one and I agree, they smell good enough to eat but don't absorb and moisturise.
